Dr. Karthik. S. Rishi

Dr. Karthik S. Rishi is a Senior Consultant in the Department of Radiotherapy at Sri Shankara Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, with over 12 years of experience in clinical radiation oncology. He holds MBBS, MD, and DNB degrees in Radiotherapy, along with a Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Law and Ethics. His areas of expertise include stereotactic radiotherapy (SRS/SRT/SBRT), brachytherapy, hypofractionated radiotherapy, and the treatment of head and neck, gynaecologic, gastrointestinal, brain, and paediatric cancers.

He has trained at MD Anderson Cancer Center (USA) and Stony Brook Medicine, New York, and is an active member of ASTRO, ESTRO, ASCO, ABS, and other international and national oncology societies. He leads various academic, ethical, and clinical quality committees at Shankara and is involved in postgraduate teaching. His clinical research focuses on radiation-induced resistance and precision oncology, and he continues to integrate technology and evidence-based approaches to improve patient outcomes.
